In 2003, Cheryl Koschara saw an opportunity to provide the optical industry with thin-film coatings and founded C.K. Coatings, Inc., a privately owned company near Geneseo, NY. It wasn't long before sales increased and the need to expand was quite relevant. In the fall of 2005, Linda Wright joined her as partners and C.K. moved to a larger facility in LeRoy, NY (near Rochester, NY, where the headquarters of the optical industry is). Our customers' rapid increase in business quickly justified the need to purchase additional coating machines. We have several coating machines to handle various size optics as well as quick turnaround prototypes to high volume production runs.
Cheryl has over 20 years experience in the Optical Thin-Film industry using a high vacuum deposition process. Linda has over 20 years experience in the Sales industry with 18 of them being in optics. Together, their knowledge, experience and expertise of designing and processing coatings has evolved C.K. into the successful business that it is today.
